Abstract

The rate constants for near-resonant energy transfer from 14N216O(001) to 15N216O,14N15N16O,15N14N16O,13C16O2 and 15N2 have been measured as a function of the temperature between 300 and 800K . Very closely resonant transfers are obtained with such isotopic species. The experimental results are compared with rate constants calculated by a theory involving long-range intermolecular forces.
