Abstract

Two band systems attributed to InBr, $A^{3}\Pi_{o} \rightarrow X^{1} \Sigma^{+}_{o}$ and $B{^{3}}\Pi_{1} \rightarrow X^{1} \Sigma^{+}_{o}$ have been known since 1933$^{1}$. However, no rotational analysis of these bands has yet been reported. We will report results from an analysis of high resolution plates ($\sim$0.15 A/mm reciprocal dispersion) taken at the Herzberg Institute of Astrophysics NRCC Ottawa. The bands are reasonably well resolved, but are complicated by the presence of two isotopes of Br and severe overlapping by sequence bands.
