Abstract

The infrared spectrum of p-dioxane, m-dioxane, s-trioxane, tetrahydropyran, and cyclohexane have been reexamined and partially reassigned in the region below $800 cm^{-1}$. In p-dioxane, the spectrum below $270 cm^{-1}$ at 3 meter path lengths and 35 torr exhibits several series of very temperature dependent, low intensity lines. Evidence that these lines arise from pseudorotation in the boat form of p-dioxane will be presented.
