Abstract

IR rotationally-resolved absorption spectrum of the N2OCH4 vander Waals complex was taken in a free jet. N2OCH4 was formed in a He expansion with 0.3% N2O and 5% CH4. The complex was probed by a multi-path diode laser beam in the vicinity of the v3 asymmetric stretch of the N2O monomer. The spectrum was dominated by b-type transitions. The rotational constants and band origin were derived.
