Abstract

The infrared spectra of $CH_{2}CH_{2}NCI$ and $CD_{2}CD_{2}NCl$ in the vapor phase have been measured from $200 cm^{-1}$ to $4000 cm^{-1}$. The Raman spectrum with polarizations of the former molecule was obtained in the liquid phase. A complete vibrational assignment was made in correlation with vibrational assignments for ethylenimine and ethylene oxide. An initial normal coordinate analysis was performed using sixteen Urey Bradley and two symmetric intramolecular tension force constants.
