Knowledge Bank

The orange systems of FeO have been photographed in emission on a 3.4 meter Ebert spectrograph. The emission was excited by an electrodeless discharge through a mixture of Fe (CO)$\mathrm{<mrow\; data-mjx-texclass="ORD">5</mrow>},O2$, and Ar. After conforming the analysis of the $Aii$ bands by barrow and $senior1$, rotational analysis of several other bands have been carried out and all have been found to have the same lower state as the $Aii$ bands. Three new upper state levels have been found. Analysis of other bands in these systems is in progress.
