Abstract

The infrared absorption spectrum of SiH4 has been recorded from 2100cm−1 to 2300cm−1 at a resolution of 0.017cm−1 and deconvoluted 0.006cm−1. Approximately 800 ν3 lines have been assigned and analyzed through J = 18 including the intense ν1ν3 interaction. The constants for 28SiH4 are in good agreement with previous work.1 The 29SiH4 and 30SiH4 results will be presented as well. The Coriolis constant, ζ3z for each isotope is in good agreement with force field calculations.2
