Abstract

The spectrum of a 32m path of NO has been obtained between 1700 and 2000cm−1 with a spectral resolution of about 0.07cm−1. In addition to lines associated with the 1 - 0 vibrational transitions of several isotopic species of NO a number of lines associated with the transition between the levels 2π3/2,v=0→2Π1/2,v=1 of N14O16 have been observed. The experimentally observed strengths of these lines are compared with those predicted by James1.
