Abstract

The spectrum of CClF3 has been measured at 0.1cm−1 resolution and the spacing of the Q branches in many of the perpendicular bands has been determined. From these spacings the Coriolis coefficients have been derived. These experimental values are compared with ones calculated with a Urey-Bradley force field. Of particular interest is the effect of Coriolis interaction on the band contour of combination bands involving two degenerate fundamentals.
