Abstract

Two large, Albany slip, sgraffito-decorated presentation jugs made by Joe Armstrong at the Briliiant Stoneware Co. pottery near Rose Farm, Morgan Co., Ohio, are described and illustrated. One was presented to William J. Watt, owner of Brilliant Stoneware and the other was presented to Watt's brother-in-law, Edwin M. Ransbottom. Both pieces were made in 1895.
