Abstract

In this interview, Dr. Manuel Tzagournis describes his career at Ohio State University, including his roles as Dean of the College of Medicine and Vice President of Health Sciences. Tzagournis focuses in particular on his involvement in the development of Ohio State's faculty practice plan and the addition of OSU East Hospital. Even in high-ranking administrative roles, though, Tzagournis continued seeing patients. He also speaks about the medical facility on campus that was named in his honor, an unusual move, as this custom is usually reserved for those who have already died.
