Abstract

The infrared spectrum of $B_{2}^{11}H_{6}$ has been obtained in the $2500-2700 cm^{-1}$ region with a spectral slit width of approximately $0.05 cm^{-1}$. The A type band $\nu_{16}$ and the B type band $\nu_{8}$ have been partially assigned. Ground state rotational constants have been determined from a least squares fit of approximately $255 \Delta_{2}F^{\prime \prime}$ and $\Delta_{1}F^{\prime \prime}$ values. Preliminary values of the ground state rotational constants are $A = 2.6557 cm^{-1}, B = 0.60650 cm^{-1}$ and $C = 0.55724 cm^{-1}$.
