Abstract

The first rotationally resolved spectrum of a van der Waals stretching vibration has been measured in the ArHCl molecular complex. Double resonance spectra have confirmed the assignment of the spectrum. The molecular constants are in good agreement with those of Hutson for a double well potential and put the band origin at $32.4 cm^{-1}$.
