Abstract

Spectra of the NH3 bands at 950cm−1 and 3300cm−1 have been obtained at reduced temperatures with cells cooled with liquid nitrogen to approximately 190∘K. Data were obtained for optical thicknesses between 0.1 atmos-cm and 4 atmos-cm and total pressures between 10 and 1000 torr. The nature of the observed temperature dependence is discussed.
