Abstract

Diatomic CuGa and Culn produced in a low temperature molecular beam source have been studied using R2PI. For both molecules, four band systems in the $14500 to 27500 cm^{-1}$ range have been identified and analyzed. A system located in the red has been recorded at high resolution using the output of a cw ring dye laser pulse amplified using a four stage amplifier chain pumped by the second harmonic of a Nd: YAG laser. The results of this analysis, which include determinations of vibrational frequencies, bond lengths, ionization potentials and dissociation energies, will be compared with calculation using density functional theory (DFT).
