Abstract

Using a tunable diode laser spectrometer and the sweep integration technique, we have measured the strengths and N2-broadened half-widths of a few lines in the P-branch of the ν3 fundamental of N2O. The strength measurements at 297K are consistent with the value 1198cm−2 atm for the strength of the ν3-fundamental and 1338cm−2atm−1 for the combined strength of the fundamental and the ``hot bands”. Our line width data are in excellent agreement with the recently reported FTS data of Lacome et al1.
