Two-photon spectra of several $\alpha ,\omega$-diphenylpolynes in the region of the first excited singlet state will be presented. Room temperature solutions in cyclohexane were used, and care was taken to eliminate experimental artifacts. A method of data collection which allows accurate determination of polarization ratios will be discussed.
