Abstract

The far infrared spectra of H2SiSH2CH2 and its d4 analog have been recorded in the 20−100cm−1 region. A large number of bands corresponding to the puckering mode were observed for each compound. The data are correlated with infrared combination bands and low-frequency Raman lines in order to obtain the potential energy function. A barrier of inversion of 88cm−1 was determined.
