Abstract

“The infrared spectrum of the “sandwich” compound dibenzene chromium has been recorded in the region $4000-324 cm^{-1}$ for the crystalline solid at $-180^{\circ} C$. Assignments of the ring vibrations are discussed and correlated with those of benzene. The effect upon ring modes of bonding of the metal atorn is noted. Some ring-metal modes are obseryed.”
