Abstract

A series of high-resolution (0.005cm−1) spectra of pure ozone have been recorded at room temperature using the Fourier transform spectrometer at the National Solar Observatory on Kitt Peak. Each spectrum covers the entire region from 1100cm−1 to 2600cm−1 and has a signal-to-noise ratio of at least 150:1. Initial analyses of these spectra in the 5μm region have resulted in intensities for a number of lines in the ν1+ν3,2ν3, and ν1+ν2+ν3ν2 bands, as well as self-broadened halfwidths in the ν1+ν3 bands. These preliminary reults are in good agreement with previous measurements and calculations.
