Abstract

Colophon: Logan, the Mingo Chief, burst into this sad lament upon being summoned by Lord Dunmore to a meeting of the tribal chiefs at Camp Charlotte. This 1774 translation of his speech by Thomas Jefferson, with a woodcut portrait by Sidney Chafetz, was printed on Kozo fiber sheets made by Tim Barrett as a keepsake for the participation of a papermaking workshop sponsored by The Ohio State University Department of Art Education and the Ohio Arts Council. Logan Elm Broadside number one. Handset and printed by Renee Cossutta. MCMLXXIX.
