Abstract
“The 4.75 $\mu$ band of ozone observed in the earth’s atmosphere and in laboratory by MeCaa and $Shaw^{1}$ has been analyzed. Earlier assignment to the $(\nu_{1}+\nu_{2})$ combination $band^{2}$ has been confirmed. The preliminary values for the rotational constants and band center are $A=3.513, B=0.437, C=0.387$ and $\nu_{0} = 2110.85 cm^{-1}$. The effect of centrifugal distortion on the spectrum is being studied and the results of this investigation will be reported.”
