Abstract
Contemporary art is a widely misunderstood art genre in which the general population does not know how to engage. Additionally, art education is often not prioritized in schools and resources like art museums are not always available.
In an effort to better understand this problem, this research thesis is a continuation of a design thesis focused on creating an accessible branded interactive experience, called Evoke, in which people high-school aged and older have the opportunity to engage with art on a new and deeper level. This portion of the project investigates ways in which museums use interactive elements and how they can be applied to Evoke. This research thesis includes an overview of the design thesis, research regarding interactive elements, and prototypes for the Evoke experience.
