Abstract
Frequencies of pure rotational transitions of neutral molecules, free radicals, and ionic molecules in the terahertz region have been measured precisely by using a frequency tunable far-infrared spectrometer in Toyama for more than 2 decades. The spectrometer (sometimes called as TuFIR in short) was developed by K.M. Evenson about 30 years ago , 576 (1984)} , 274 (1987)}. The terahertz light source is generated by synthesizing difference frequency of two mid-infrared CO
