The absolute line intensities for more than 200 vibrational rotational absorption lines of transitions to the vibrational states $v2$ = 1 and $v5$ = 1 were measured for $\mathrm{<mrow\; data-mjx-texclass="ORD">12</mrow>}CH3F$ using a tunable diode laser. Measurements were made with sample pressures of one Torr or less using a 60cm pathlength absorption cell, and the identification of lines was facilitated significantly by the use of line lists, with assignments, resulting from the ro-vibrational analysis of Papousek, et al.$\mathrm{<mrow\; data-mjx-texclass="ORD">(1)</mrow>}$ Experimental details will be discussed in this paper. The determination of vibrational transition moments will be discussed by Papousek, et al. in a separate at this symposium.
