Abstract
By means of the molecular beam magnetic resonance (Rabi) technique, it has been found that $H_{2}$ has a metastable electronic state. Measurements of the Zeeman effect have shown it to be $C^{3}\pi_{u}$, probably the lowest vibrational level. Precision measurements of the fine structure are in progress.
