Abstract
Phosphorescence spectra of p-chlorobenzaldhyde in a variety of mixed crystals and shpolskii type matrices are reported at 77 and $4^{\circ} K$ . A model for interstate interaction is developed based on vibrational analysis of the phosphorescence and phosphorescence excitation spectra.
