Abstract

The infrared spectrum of solid S2N2 has been measured from 4000cm−1 to 60cm−1 and the infrared and Raman spectra of S4N4 have been obtained in the same region for the solid and for the compound in solution. A normal coordinate analysis has been carried out for each molecule and the spectra assigned on the basis of D2h and D2d structures respectively.
