Abstract

The infrared spectrum of CH3SiHD2 has been investigated in the region 2000−5000cm−1 with a resolution of 0.2cm−1. Fourteen bands were observed, but only four were resolved sufficiently to enable an analysis to be performed. Three of these four bands, occurring at 2165cm−1,2982cm−1, and 4262cm−1, are type C. The band which occurs at 2835cm−1 is type A. The band at 2165cm−1 contains more rotational fine structure than any of the other three bands. The anaalysis of this band yielded A=1.327cm−1±0.002cm−1. Values have been obtained for A1B1C1,DJ,DJK,DK, and the band origins of the four resolved bands. Approximate band origins have been obtained for many of the other bands observed in this study.
