Abstract
The infrared spectrum of $CH_{3}SiHD_{2}$ has been investigated in the region $2000-5000 cm^{-1}$ with a resolution of $0.2 cm^{-1}$. Fourteen bands were observed, but only four were resolved sufficiently to enable an analysis to be performed. Three of these four bands, occurring at $2165 cm^{-1}, 2982 cm^{-1}$, and $4262 cm^{-1}$, are type C. The band which occurs at $2835 cm^{-1}$ is type A. The band at $2165 cm^{-1}$ contains more rotational fine structure than any of the other three bands. The anaalysis of this band yielded $A^{\prime\prime} = 1.327 cm^{-1} \pm 0.002 cm^{-1}$. Values have been obtained for $A^{1} B^{1} C^{1}, D_{J}, D_{JK}, D_{K}$, and the band origins of the four resolved bands. Approximate band origins have been obtained for many of the other bands observed in this study.
