Abstract

Remote sensing of the physical and chemical properties of the Earth's climate system is based upon the detection and analysis of electro magnetic radiation, through the use of spectroscopic principles. This talk will present an overview of the use of spectroscopy in remote sensing projects, including the presentation of some novel results, particularly referring to experiments on the Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite.
