Abstract

For my STEP Signature Project I participated in an Outreach Education Internship with the Center of Science and Industry (COSI) during the summer of 2019. For ten weeks, I helped prepare and run educational programs for grades K-12, on subjects ranging from robotics to astronomy. I learned how to engage students in science, promote inquiry, and adjust programs to the needs of the students. I also designed an audio-forensics activity for the CSI workshop in order to increase accessibility for those with hearing or vision impairments, which was submitted for review by COSI Educators and the Director of Education.
