Abstract

An apparatus was constructed to detect the amount of microwave energy converted into acoustic pulses, when an absorbing gas is irradiated. A portion of the ammonia spectrum around 24 CHz was scanned. Pressure broadening and saturation effects were observed. The results will be shown and discussed.
