Abstract
Ionization-loss stimulated Raman spectroscopy, a hole-burning technique, has been used to obtain size selective Raman spectra of Benzene (Ar)$_{N}$ Clusters $(n=1-22)$ for the Benzene $v_{1}$ and $v_{2}$ totally symmetric vibrations. The spectra show both size and isomer specificity. The spectra are compared with the results of both $experimental^{1}$ and $throretical^{2}$ investigation of the Benzene (Ar)n 61 vibronic transiton. It is shown that the Raman spectra are consistent with the vibronic spectra and also provide new information about Ar salvation of the doped Benzene.
