Abstract

Several rotational transitions of 14N16O2 and 15N16O2 have been studied with a microwave cavity spectrometer and have been assigned to the first excited bending vibration of the molecule. The experimental data are used to determine rotational constants, spin-rotational constants, inertial defect, etc., and they are compared with those of the ground vibrational state. These data also provide a test for the theory of spin-rotation vibrational dependence.1
