Abstract
In a discharge flow of molecular oxygen, a new ESR spectrum has been detected at room temperature. Under normal operating conditions, the spectrum is much weaker than that due to gas phase O-atoms in the $^{3}P_{2}$ state. The spectrum is anisoptropic. Its close resemblance to the gas phase atom spectrum allows the positive identification of an atomic species weakly bound to the glass surface of the enclosure.
