Abstract

This is the minutes for the Council on Academic Affairs' meeting on April 8, 2009. Connie M. Goodman presented the Student Information System (SIS). Daniel A. Mendelsohn and W. Randy Smith (the Chair and Vice Chair, respectively) gave comments regarding relevant updates. Professor Jay S. Hobgood presented the proposals to create a Translational Plant Sciences Graduate Program. Professors Daniel A. Hendelsohn and W. Randy Smith presented the proposals to change the graduate program name from Food Science and Nutrition to Food Science and Technology, to revise the Chinese major and minor, and to revise the Portuguese major. The Council ended after a general discussion concerning GEC during the calendar conversion process.
