Abstract

This is the minutes for the Council on Academic Affairs' meeting on January 14, 2009. Daniel A. Mendelsohn and W. Randy Smith (the Chair and Vice Chair, respectively) gave comments regarding relevant updates. Professor Lawrence A. Baum led the discussion on the proposal for a Public Affairs and Slavic and East European Studies dual degree and a BS in Construction Systems Management. Professor Daniel A. Mendelsohn led the discussion on the proposal for a Master's of Public Health and Doctor of Optometry (OD) dual degree, to create Engineering Science minor and Technological Studies minor, and to create American Indian Studies minor. Robert D. Calhoun led the discussion on the 181 credit hour plan for Technology Education Licensure track and the 181 credit hour plan for Early and Middle Childhood Education major. Professors Daniel A. Mendelsohn and W. Randy Smith led the discussion on the proposal for a Women's Studies Direct-to-PhD program.
