Abstract

The infrared spectrum of $(HC \equiv C)_{2}C \equiv O$ has been measured from 35 to $4000 cm^{-1}$ for the solid at about $100^{\circ}K$ and for the gas. Raman spectra with polarizations were obtained for the liquid. $C_{2v}$ symmetry was assumed, and permitted a satisfactory interpretation of the data. Frequencies have been assigned to 15 of the 18 spectroscopically active fundamentals.
