“The infrared spectra of hexafluorodisilane and hexafluorodisiloxane have been investigated from 5000 to $30cm-1$. Some Raman frequencies have also been found for hexafluorodisilane. The hexafluorodisiloxane molecule obeys $D3d$ selection rules, but the structure of the spectrum is complex in the region of the Si-O-Si asymmetric stretching fundamental. Possible interpretations of this structure will be discussed.”
