Abstract

The analysis of the FIR spectrum of C3O2(1) has been completed. Bands involving excitation of up to 8 quanta of the low frequency bending mode ν7 have been analysed. The results will be presented. The first contribution serves as a basis for further analysis of the IR spectrum of C3O2 in the region of the ν6 fundamental, started four years ago (2). For this purpose, a new spectrum has been recorded from 520 to 580cm−1 at −60C with twice the resolution used previously, i.e. 0.002cm−1. The analysis has been extended and preliminary results will be presented.
