Abstract
A spherically symmetrical retarding field has been used to measure the kinetic energy spectrum of photoelectrons ejects from molecules by $584{\AA}$ (21.21 ev) radiation. The electronic energy levels of less than 20 ev binding energy in the halogen molecules and the hydrogen halides have been deduced from their photoelectron spectra, and the levels have been correlated with molecular orbital theory.
