Abstract
The rotational analysis of the $\tilde{A}-\tilde{X}$ band system in $C_{2}D_{2}$ put forward rovibrational perturbations in the ground electronic state (1), araising because of the proximity of the two bending frequencies, $\nu_{4}$ (trans-bend at $511.5 cm^{-1}$) and $\nu''_{5}$ (cis-bend at $538.6 cm^{-1}$) through Darling-Dennison, rotational and vibrational $\ell$-doubling interactions (2). The far infrared ($20-150 cm^{-1}$) and infrared ($400-600 cm^{-1}$) absorption spectrum, recorded with the modified Bomem DA 3.002 Fourier Tansform Spectrometer of the Herzberg Institute of Astrophysics, is analyzed with the aim to bring information on the excited bending levels. Preliminary results will be presented.
