The spectrum is observed in absorption in a dc glow discharge in helium-carbon monoxide mixtures with the discharge Cube cooled to liquid nitrogen temperature. By using enriched carbon monoxide we have also measured the corresponding transitions in $v = 0$ through 4 of $C^{18}O$ and $v = 0$ through 2 of $^{13}{CO}$, which is complicated by hyperfine structure.
