dc.description.abstractRaman spectra of $N_{2}/CO$ mixed crystals have been obtained at several concentrations between 0 and 100%. The lattice vibrations have been studied both directly and in combination with the stretching modes. A preliminary analysis of the spectra indicates that the $E_{g}$ and lower frequency $T_{g}$ librations ace in the amalgamation limit. The higher frequency $T_{g}$ mode does not appear to be in this limit.en_US
