Abstract
The infrared and Raman spectra of substituted gerrnacyclopent-3-enes, $\overbrace{CH_{2}CH=CHCH_{2}G} eR_{2}$, have been examined $(R = CH_{3}, Cl$, and $OCH_{3})$, The spectra have been assigned and the question of ring planarity has been investigated for each molecule.
