A STUDY OF THE INTERNAL ROTATIONAL MOTIONS IN ETHANESELENOL BY INFRARED, EAMAM AND MICROWAVE SPECTROSCOPY
Publisher:
Ohio State UniversityAbstract:
Raman spectra of gaseous and Liquid $CH_{3}CH_{2}SeH$ and $CH_{3}CH_{2}SeD$ have been recorded from 35 to $3500 cm^{-1}$. Infrared spectra of $CH_{3}CH_{2}SeH$ and $CH_{3}CH_{2}SeD$ have also been investigated from 50 to $3500 cm^{-1}$. The microwave spectrum of $CH_{3}CH_{2}SeH$ has been recorded from 18 to 40 GHz. Rotational constants and dipole moment components have been obtained for both stable conformers. The asymmetric potential function for the internal rotation of the Se-H and Se-D moieties have been determined from these data.
