LOW-TEMPERATURE VIBRATIONAL SPECTRA OF NITRIC OXIDE-ACID COMPLEXES.
Publisher:
Ohio State UniversityAbstract:
At low temperatures nitric oxide forms colored complexes (absorption maxima $\sim500$ nm) with various Lewis acids. The infrared and Raman spectra of these complexes have been recorded between 10 and $150^\circ K$ . At higher temperatures these species decompose. The spectra for nitric oxide complexes with$ BF_{3}, BCl_{3}, SnCl_{4}, TiCl_{4}, HCl,$ and $SO_{2}$ will be discussed.
