dc.description.abstract | It has been shown $recently^{1,2}$ that observations of collision-induced lamb dips in laser Stark spectroscopy provide useful information on ``reorientation” collisions, that is, inelastic collisions in which magnetic quantum number M changes. Further studies using various Q branch lines of the $\nu$$_{3}$ fundamental band of $^{13}CH_{3} F$ will be reported. The reorientation collisions due to foreign gases are studied by using the Q(1,1) transition. Measurements of the line width of collision-induced Lamb dips are being attempted by using a highly stabilized $CO_{2}$ laser. Such measurements provide information on the velocity change accompanying collisional reorientation of molecules. | en_US |
