MATRIX ISOLATION MAGNETIC CIRCULAR DICHROISM APPARATUS AND SPECTRA OF THE PRODUCTS OF SODIUM ATOM REACTIONS WITH MATRIX ISOLATED SPECIES
Publisher:
Ohio State UniversityAbstract:
We have recently developed an apparatus for measuring the magnetic circular dichroism spectra of matrix isolated species at temperatures between 5 and $40^{\circ} K$. A sodium filled knudsen cell allows for reaction between sodium atoms and various molecular species isolated in argon matrices. Spectra obtained with this apparatus will be discussed in light of current theories.
