THE MICROWAVE SPECTRUM OF t-BUTYL ALCOHOL
Publisher:
Ohio State UniversityAbstract:
A complete assignment of the microwave spectrum of the ground vibrational state of t-butyl alcohol has now been obtained. This assignment was made and checked using double resonance techniques. The barrier to internal rotation is determined to be 1268 cal/mole. By adding simple centrifugal distortion corrections to the rigid top-rigid frame (six parameter) theory we obtain a fit to the large number of transitions measured with a standard deviation of only a few MHz up to $J = 20$.
